Description

The SAE-400® welding machine by Lincoln Electric is a powerful tool designed for demanding jobs that require high amperage capabilities. With 500 amps for DC stick welding and AC power, it is perfect for heavy-duty welding tasks. The machine is powered by a durable Perkins® industrial diesel engine, known for its low maintenance and long lifespan. Additionally, the SAE-400® offers the option to add CV-wire welding capability with the CV Adapter.

One of the standout features of the SAE-400® is its rugged construction, with a heavy gauge steel case that can withstand rough handling in the field. It also boasts dual continuous current control, allowing precise adjustment of amps, volts, and arc characteristics. This means that welders can dial in the perfect arc for different types of welding, whether it’s a digging, penetrating arc for root beads or a soft, buttery arc for stacking iron on fill and cap passes. This level of control is especially useful for tackling challenging joints on the job.

The SAE-400® also offers a high duty cycle welding output, with a 100% duty cycle at 400 amps and a 60% duty cycle at 500 amps. This makes it suitable for even the most demanding applications. Additionally, the machine features generator output with Euro and NEMA receptacles, providing 3,000 watts of 60 Hz, single-phase power at either 120V or 240V.
