The Spilltech – WP100S Oil-Only MeltBlown pads are designed with a fast-wicking feature that quickly absorbs spills. The loose stacked-weave design increases the surface area, allowing the mat to start wicking on contact and saving time in critical situations. These pads are effective on both land and water, and they even float when fully saturated.
The MeltBlown polypropylene fibers used in these pads are naturally hydrophobic, meaning they repel water while only absorbing oils and other hydrocarbons. This ensures that the pads absorb oily liquids efficiently without becoming saturated with water.
The high sorbency of the MeltBlown polypropylene fibers allows the mat to stay on the job longer. The large-diameter fibers are randomly assembled to create a lofty mat that can absorb up to 42.8 oz. per 15″ x 19″ HeavyWeight Pad.
