The 1340200 4R “F” Drill Pipe Float Valve is an essential component in drilling operations, installed in the bore-back of the bit sub to regulate fluid flow and prevent backflow of cuttings. There are two types of float valves available: the Model F, a plunger-type valve that provides instant shut off for constant fluid control, and the Model G, a flapper-type valve that offers an unobstructed bore when opened and closes rapidly to prevent shavings from entering the drill string. The Model G also assists in maintaining internal pressure control and prevents pulling wet joints by fully opening when the first joint is raised from the hole. Both models are reliable and economical choices for standard drilling operations.
